Salem Arts Association

Hi!

I have been working with a dedicated group of artists and others in Salem who wish to see a Salem Arts Association florish in town. I have posted about our online discussion group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/salemarts/

We have established a web address for the new Salem Arts Association at www.salemartsassociation.org, though nothing is up there yet, as far as I know.

However, we will be hosting a Public Meeting April 13 at the Beverly Co-operative Bank on the corner of Lafayette and Derby Streets in their Community Room at 6:30pm for a general discussion about How and Why a Salem Arts Association should exist.

I think we have a good agenda all ready for gutting and filleting! I'll post that agenda here, and the press release for all of you to see and digest! *Burp!*

More Art for Sale

Here are a couple more of Chuck's paintings for sale at the store: Red Onion, and Blue Mouse Cat Toy.

Red Onion is 5"x7" and is $60 unframed. Blue Mouse Cat Toy is 4"x6" and $40 unframed.

Chuck is a master at Acrylics. Each painting better's the last. He's painting small right now, to hone his skills--THEN he'll create some larger, more detailed pieces! You'd better watch out, then!

SALEM HIGH SCHOOL EXHIBIT!!!

The Art Corner is PROUD to announce that we will be featuring the Salem High School Arts Department Exhibit for April! Check out the NEW talent about to be unleashed in Salem from these talented kids!

Above is a sample of the photography part.

FOUR teachers are involved, so we should have a wide spectrum of works for your enjoyment!

Here are the details: the exhibit will run from April 1 to 30. "Meet the Artists'" Reception will be April 1, 2-4pm. Come meet the kids!!!

I have contacted the Salem News, Salem Gazette and Boston Globe, as well as the Salem Chamber of Commerce and the Picklepot Newsletter.

Let's get as many people by the Art Corner to support the KIDS!!!

I've called this exhibit "Art of Salem: The Next Generation" because that's what it is! These kids are GREAT!
